Tate Modern

Whilst visiting Pop Life at the Tate Modern, I managed to fit in having a quick look around at the more permanent collection.  Some amazing and breathtaking work, particularly the installation pieces by Robert Therrien, Cornelia Parker and Jannis Kounellis.

Red Room by Robert Therrien.
'The cumulative effect of all the items, united by colour, makes every day items seem unfamiliar.' (Tate Modern)
Untitled (table and four chairs) by Robert Therrien.
'Confronting known objects that have been transformed, whether diminished or magnified, we reflect back on out physical space in the world.' (Tate Modern)
Thirty Pieces of Silver by Cornelia Parker.

(stuffed birds) Jannis Kounellis.
